Invitation to the 4th International Conference of the Arab Beekeeping Association (ApiArab) and the 14th international honey festival
The 4th International Conference of the Arab Beekeeping Association (ApiArab), will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on 16-19, July 2022 in conjunction with the 14th international honey festival which will be hosted in Albaha, Saudi Arabia, on 15 -29, July 2022.
The conference of ApiArab raises the slogan of “Better bee management practices for Sustainable Beekeeping” and will discuss several topics, including bee management, genetic improvement of honeybees, and mechanisms to enhance the value added honeybee products in arid areas, also it will organize several workshops to discuss topics related to the development of beekeeping and honey production, also training programs in Apitherapy, Apimedicne, and honey sensory analysis.
The Fourth conference of the Arab Beekeeping Association will be attended by a group of beekeeping scientists worldwide, allowing the exchange of information and expertise, and a constructive and fruitful discussion on the challenges faced by beekeepers in arid environments, and ways to overcome them to promote the beekeeping and honey production industries of the arid regions and its sustainability.
The 14th international honey festival, will organize a big Beekeeping and Honey Production Exhibition that will host more than 100 exhibitors of beekeeping industry related techno-logies and equipment suppliers for bee and bee breeding, latest technology systems and solutions as well as various honey products across the world.
The exhibition will provide an important platform for beekeepers to showcase their products and learn about the latest technologies in the field of beekeeping. Alongside it will offer an opportunity for visitors to learn about the different varieties of honey and their quality and buy the best of them. During the exhibitions there will be specialized laboratories to test the quality of honey, as well as many exhibitors specialized in manufacturing the necessary equipment and technologies for the beekeeping industry and honey production.
There will be an awards for best participation. The winners of the Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi Awards for the development of beekeepers in the Arab world will be given in three categories: best applied scientific research, best innovation, and best practices in the field of bees and honey, and also Sheikh Ali Almajdouie Award for Supporting the Honey Industry: best honey comb, best liquid honey, and best crystallized honey.
